Well my plan to win the 20 million didn't pan out but I still think life is pretty good! Right now I am sitting on my couch with Joey falling asleep in my lap and Jason just gave me some big kisses before he went out to get us some salads. Dori is snoring on the floor and the central air is kickin'.
Dominique's graduation party went very well - it was nice to see the family. Joey slept the entire party with the DJ playing music and my loud family... as soon as we got in the car he was wide awake. So funny. He is so much fun.
Saturday was Melissas birthday party. We had such a good time. We had a breakfsat picnic first, then some time at the spa... then back to my house to have a snack and drink before we headed out to dinner. It was a beautiful day. I posted a few photos from the party... it was such a good time, I have some really good friends. Melissa had a nice time and we get to have more fun next month for Amys party!! Oh happy day :)
We had the baptism Sunday and Joey was SO GOOD! He didn't cry once, not even with the water on his little head - or because it was so darn hot in the church with no AC. The party after was super nice, all the kids had fun running in the field and the cookout was yummy. Nancy made a really cool cake too! Everyone had a good time.
I started back to work two weeks ago. I have been so busy - my day goes by really fast but I don't feel like I have enough time with Joey when I get home. I like being back with the people and I really like what I do - at the same time if that 20 million had worked out I would have left without batting an eye....
Today is Jonathan's 2nd birthday (my Godson Doug & Jill's little boy) we went to his house for cake -it was ice cream cake sooooo yummy! He is so totally cute. He is going to get tubes in his ears tomorrow so keep him in your prayers that all goes smoothly.
Joey's surgery was moved to a week from Tuesday. I am excited to get it over with but I am nervous at the same time. I hate to think of my little guy being hurt at all. Patty (Bridget's mom) is having the Deacon say a special prayer for Joey on the day of his surgery. She is such a great lady!
Ashley (my niece) slept over Tuesday night so she would be here Wednesday morning to watch Joey for the day. Jason was a little nervous (totally cute).... but I know my Ash she is such a good girl. She is so responsible and smart. She takes great care of Joey - I am not worried at all when she is here. I know she always puts Joey first and she really loves him. She is going to make a great nurse someday. I trust her 100% and would do anything for her.
Tomorrow night I am going to the nickleback daughtry concert with some of the girls - that will be a good time. I am sure I will have photos and maybe a funny story or two. Saturday we have a wedding to go to my cousin Charlie and Michelle. That should be a good time. Michelle is super nice and her mom is awesome. It will be nice to officially add them to the family :)
I truly couldn't ask for more. Good health, a loving family, satisfying job, amazing friends, not to mention the cutest doggie ever! Life is good.
